Andrew Te Whaiti

CEO and founder

After playing professional rugby in New Zealand and three seasons in Italy Andrew graduated with an MBA from Massey University and embarked on his career in tourism.

As CEO of Te Puia in Rotorua, New Zealand’s pre eminent Cultural Tourism Experience, he led a $25 million redevelopment programme which resulted in the creation of one of New Zealand’s leading and award winning tourist destinations.

Andrew has developed and operated Tourism Experiences around the World, including many experiences, developing stories of the land and people into world class visitor experiences.

Andrew has lived and worked in New Zealand, Italy, England and also in Hawaii where he developed key tourism experiences.


Stuart Robertson

Founder / Director

Stuart Robertson is recognised by US Origin magazine as one of the world’s top 45 creatives. As a business leader and born entrepreneur, Robertson has spent close to three decades in various creative roles innovating for clients as the founding Director & owner of businesses in advertising, publishing, production, catering, brand activation, events and experiential marketing.

Stu founded global philanthropic photographic art project, Peace in 10,000 Hands and speaks regularly at global events, including TEDx for thought leadership, creating and delivering authenticity in today’s experience economy. 


Geoff Rawlings

Digital & Marketing Insights Manager

A dynamic tourism marketing professional, with more than 17 years across a wide spectrum of the tourism industry. Geoff brings extensive experience to the Genio Global Entertainment team. Geoff has worked with leading industry operators including international outbound agents, Qantas Vacations, in Los Angeles, THL New Zealand & Australia's largest motorhome rental company,  South Pacific Travel Media specialists plus many of New Zealand's leading passenger transport and attraction operations.

Having been trained to look for innovation in many different aspects of tourism. Geoff knows that the considered utilisation of  innovative technology and smart brand marketing is fundamental to developing a successful 'Brand Tourism' business. . 


Semele Robertson

Semele’s passion for the last twenty years has been to build great businesses and teams that touch the hearts and minds of people by delivering world class experiences in hospitality and events. 

With a family history of passionate foodies and artists Semele believes life and business are a work of art. A journey of finding joy and growth through balancing bravery and love, instinct and strategy, people and patience and shining through it all with authenticity and grace.  

She has been the co-founder behind more than fifteen start-ups, building businesses and brands from the ground up including Collective Hospitality, The Wharf, Orakei Bay and I Want Orange. 

Semele’s philosophy is to identify and develop talent, build momentum and a culture of integrity, excellence and growth. She has a Bachelor in Visual Arts with a major in photography and filmmaking. She is a certified Kundalini yoga instructor with a deep love of nature and creating joy and wellbeing.

With her husband and business partner they started the global philanthropic art project ‘Peace in 10,000 Hands’ to further generate the conversation for peace and to raise one hundred million dollars to further peace through children’s education.



Regional Director UK and Ireland

Michelle has a strong commercial background from working with New Zealand companies targeting business opportunities in Ireland. Having recently relocated to her home town, she is a dedicated member of the Genio team.

Michelle believes a deep understanding of your customer is key to success. Specialising in business development, market insights and project management Michelle has a proven track record in strategic growth.

With a career in a multinational financial organisation in Ireland and a government trade agency in New Zealand, Michelle has worked with hundreds of companies across numerous industries achieving international success. 

Michelle holds a BA from University College Dublin, is also an accredited Financial Advisor and holds qualifications in Marketing and PR.


Russ Browne

Chief Commercial Officer

Russ completed a Bachelor of Management Studies in 1991. Since completing his degree, Russ has gained 27 years of accounting experience in a range of private and public sector roles.

Russ has worked within large multinational companies in New Zealand, Australia and London.  During this time he developed a strong skillset in commercial analysis and planning. Skills developed across a range of industries including agriculture, shipping, logistics, healthcare and culminating in a strong focus on tourism.  A passion for commercial thinking has seen Russ present regularly on how to commercialise opportunities and tourism activities from complete start up to brand rejuvenation.
